Exploring Anxiety

Anxiety is an emotion that we all experience, in fact we need it for our survival.  If we did not experience anxiety then we would not know when we are in danger.  Unfortunately there are times where we feel elevated levels of anxiety either in unexpected moments or during extended periods of our lives.  This can cause us to feel ‘on edge’, ‘irritable’ or ‘agitated’ in situations that we feel should not be causing us this emotional distress.  I believe that developing an understanding of the emotion will help reduce the overwhelming feeling that anxiety can cause.  I have worked with hundreds of people who have found benefit in developing their understanding of anxiety and what can cause it to elevate.  Below you will find some sources of information and support that I hope will help you to develop your understanding of anxiety as well as your ability to manage the emotion.
