Counselling

Counselling will aim to help you explore emotional difficulty and find peace. I have worked with people suffering with elevated anxiety, depression, high levels of stress, low self-worth, phobias and many more areas of difficulty. Fundamentally I use a Person-Centred approach which will allow you the space to explore how you are feeling and why you may be feeling that way. You will find this style of therapy quite non-directive and enlightening.

Exploration can provide the insight that enables people to understand their difficulties and ultimately move towards acceptance and peace. I have practiced the technique for a number of years and have felt the moments where clients gain insight and feel greater peace and contentment.

I have also experienced Person-centred counselling from the position of a client, the time and money I invested as a client enabled me to gain appreciation of how my past has created who I am and ultimately an acceptance of my values and outlook on the world. Having the time and space to explore myself and my emotional difficulty helped me to find acceptance, peace and an understanding of who I am and why. I have heard my clients say the same, quite often someone does not need answers but instead a skilled listener who creates the space to develop understanding. Through individual counselling I aim to provide you with the space to help you develop a greater understanding of yourself.

There is a charge of £95 for each appointment. Home visits and family sessions will be negotiated depending on timings and distance travelled to appointments. There is no obligation for you to sign up to a certain amount of appointments, we can discuss what might be good for you during consultation. You are more than welcome to pay per appointment or for a number of appointments in advance. Each appointment will last for roughly 50 minutes. I can be flexible with timings with the aim of meeting your needs.

If you are interested in finding out more, or if you would like my opinion on whether or not I feel I can offer you support through what you are experiencing then please make contact. I will offer my honest opinion on whether I feel my support may help. If I feel there is more appropriate support elsewhere I shall do my best to point you in the right direction.
